The idea for the Good Vibe Foundation came about when after many years of living in Cambodia, our Founder, Emma saw first-hand that due to the lack of education and low income levels, many people don’t have access to healthy food or information on how to practically to get additional nutrition into their diets. Once we set up VIBE Cafe, we knew that through our knowledge and training in plant-based nutrition, we needed to somehow pass this on to the community in which we had our business.
We aim to provide 10,000 school children in Cambodia with healthy food.
To offer education to children and their families on health, nutrition and wellbeing.
To be a positive impact in the world.
A beautiful country, full of genuine smiles, Cambodia is still recovering from a recent genocide of a whole generation. The average salary in 2016 was $3.30 USD per day and it is ranked the 35th poorest country in the world. Cambodia has high rates of essential vitamins and mineral deficiencies. WHO ranks micronutrient deficiencies among the top 10 leading causes of death globally. It also has a staggering 40% of stunted children according to the latest Cambodian Demographic and Health Survey (CDHS 2010).
